Conditions of Contest:

:: The event will be held in Kingston, Ontario during the Kingston Regional, Saturday, May 22, Sunday, May 23 and Monday, May 24 . To be eligible, you must be born on or after January 1st, 1979.

:: To be considered for the Canadian team, you must participate in the trial.

:: The format will be four person team trials. The first two days will involve a full round-robin (perhaps a double-round robin depending on the number of teams). The final day will be a head-to-head match of the top two teams from the round-robin. The first session will start Saturday at 1:00 PM. Between 48 and 72 boards will be played Saturday and Sunday. Monday will start at 10:00 am. The final will be 64 boards.

:: The winners of the trials will form the core of the team. However, members of that winning team will be asked to relinquish their position if they do not participate in the junior training program.

:: The full composition of the team will be determined by August 1st, 2004. The decision will be made by the Junior Manager in consultation with the NPC and the winning team. Criteria for selection will include: performance in the junior trials including the Butler scores from the trials, willingness to participate in the junior training program, attitude and maturity at and away from the table, general bridge ethics, and ability to work effectively in a team environment.

A deposit of $100 (cheque) , payable to the CBF is due from each team competing prior to April 15th, 2004. Any teams not submitting a cheque will not be considered for the trials. Only in extraordinary circumstances will late entries be considered by the Junior Manager. Cheques should be mailed to Jan Anderson, 2719 East Jolly Place, Regina SK S4V 0X8.
