2nd World Mind Sports Games | Lille, France August 9-23, 2012
The World Mind Sports Games incorporate the 14th World Bridge Games (former World Team Olympiad), comprising Open, Women and Senior (national) team series, and the 5th World Transnational Mixed Teams competition. Lille was the venue of the 1998 World Bridge Series Championships, which was played at the same venue as this year: Lille Grand Palais.
Team Canada won SILVER in the 2012 World Transnational Mixed Teams. Congratulations!

Extendicare Helps get Women’s Bridge Team to Lille
Extendicare (Canada) Inc. (ECI) is a proud sponsor of the 2012 Canadian Women’s Bridge team. One of the team members, Pamela Nisbet is a long time employee of Extendicare. It has been exciting to follow the successes of her team and support them as they prepare to represent Canada in Lille, France at the 14th World Bridge Games.

World Transnational Teams
In this Olympic year how about taking part in Bridge’s own world class sporting event? The World Transnational Mixed Teams Championships will be held in Lille, France from Friday 17th – Thursday 23rd August as part of the 2nd World Mind Sports Games, and is open to all paid up members of the Canadian Bridge Federation. Congratulations go out to Kismet Fung and Susan Culham of Edmonton, AB who won the silver medal in the World Womens Pairs at the 2010 World Bridge Series in Philadelphia!! Canada can indeed be proud!! This was the second silver medal for Kismet at these World Championships - she won the silver medal in the Mixed pairs earlier in the competition.
