Marianne Johnson "majored' in bridge as an undergrad, playing in the Tory Lounge at the University of Alberta. After not playing bridge for some 30 years, she returned in July 2009 to play at the Tuxedo club in Winnipeg. She has been a regular since then. Marianne is a clinical psychologist and former professor of psychology.

Deloris Ankom, Marianne’s partner, has been an active player since the 70s. She is an accredited teacher and director at the Tuxedo Bridge Studio. She is the Secretary for Unit 181. Deloris has represented Unit 181 and District 2 in the NAP Flight B in Vancouver and Cincinnati.
